Healing Emergency Response to Overdose

In early 2024, we launched Project H.E.R.O., a community-centered harm reduction initiative, with the State of Alabama’s FIRST 24/7 naloxone (Narcan) distribution location. Along with providing life-saving medication and other resources this initiative seeks to break down barriers of stigma and shame, providing free naloxone, fentanyl test strips, and harm reduction supplies through multiple distribution sites across Walker County, AL — no cost, no judgment. Harm reduction is essential to the work we do at Jubilee House because we believe it is at the heart of radical hospitality as the opioid epidemic continues to ravage our community.

Help Happens Here

We are excited to announce Help Happens Here—a community-wide initiative to make Walker County, AL a safer place by equipping 500 businesses & organizations with life-saving naloxone kits (Narcan).
